Carson Langston

December 24, 1941 — October 2, 2006

Brother Carson Langston age 64 of Sale Creek went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, October 2, 2006 in his home. He was born in Rhea County December 24, 1941 the son of the late Homer and Willie (Goins) Langston.

Carson graduated from Rhea Central High School class of 1959. He was a long time resident of Graysville and was the owner and operator of Langston Shoes in Sale Creek. Carson was the lead singer with The Singing Eternals and traveled the eastern half of the United States preaching the Gospel and singing for his Lord. He was a member of Sale Creek Church of God. Carsons life was telling the Good News of Jesus Christ both through preaching and music.

Carson is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Imogene (Reed) Langston of Sale Creek, his beloved daughter, Kimberly (Chuck) Keel, grandsons, Seth Aaron Pierce and Brandon Allen Keel all of Soddy Daisy, one brother Allen (Meda) Langston of Graysville, several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Carson’s life will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00pm in the Sale Creek Church of God with Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating. Committal services will be Thursday at 11:00am in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Wednesday until 5:00pm and at the church from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
