Carolyn Delois Sullivan, age 58, of Dayton passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her home. Carolyn was born February 27, 1959 in Sunnyvale, California and had lived in Dayton since 1978. She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Rosie (Nye) Elser, her son, Jeremy M. Westlake, daughter-in-law Lorinda Elser, and sister, Sandy Elser.
Carolyn was a homemaker, wedding planner and interior decorator. She was active in the Daughters of the Revolution, Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts, homeless shelter and
Secret Santa at Headstart. She attended the North Dayton Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse O. Sullivan, Sr. of Dayton, her parents, Lewis and Cindy Elser of Evensville; sons, Curtis M. Elser, Jesse O. Sullivan, Jr. and Jay W. Sullivan, all of Brayton Mountain; daughters, Melissa Dawn Sullivan-Sizemore and Bridget (Jason) Cox, both of Dayton, and Dorine Westlake of Michigan; god-daughters, Chiquita Powell of Charleston, TN, Jenna (Adam) Wilson of Dayton, Amber (Gary) Keylon of Graysville Mountain and Alicia (Jason) Tankersley of Dayton; sisters, Catherine (Dig) Glanden of Graysville, Barbara Atkinson of California and Valerie (Dudley) Waddle, both of California and Bonnie Elser of Evensville; brothers, Lewis (Cathy) Elser of Middle Valley and Roy Elser of Dayton; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and life-long friends, Shelly & Freddy Nelson, Deborah Poe, Ray Morton and Albert Martin.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, February 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in Brayton Cemetery on Thursday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m.
