Carol Louise Shearer

Carol Louise Shearer, age 90 of Birchwood, passed away at The Lantern at Morning Point in Collegedale on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was born on October 10, 1933, in California, the daughter of the late Victor Malcolm and Harriet Louise Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Shearer; and son, Robert Lockman.

Carol lived in California all of her life before moving to Tennessee in 2017 to be near her family. She graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego. She retired as a school clerk in California, loved to ride horses, was a member of several horse clubs, and attended First Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Darrell) Lovins of Birchwood; her son, Richard Lockman of San Diego, CA; her three step-children, John Shearer, Tracey Shearer, and Kim-Denise (Charles) Barnett; her daughter-in-law, Linda Lockman; her four grandchildren, Dayna (Anthony) Falzone, Tom Lockman, Danielle (Matt) Dillard, and Ellie Lockman; her eight great-grandchildren, Addyson Falzone, Aurelya Falzone, Danyca Falzone, Dempsey Falzone, Tristan Dillard, Makenzie Dillard, Avonlea Falzone, and Madelyn Dillard; and niece, Sandy Ryan.

There will be no services for Carol at this time.
