Carl Wilson Anderson, age 78 of Dayton, died at his home Thursday morning May 29, 2008. Carl was born in Tracy City on February 10, 1930 the son of the late Ernest and Sealy (Dove) Anderson.
Carl retired as a machinist with Astec Industries in Chattanooga. He attended the Dayton Church of Christ and loved gardening and his horses.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma (Sanders) Anderson, his son, Nick Nunley of Dayton, two brothers, Lewis Anderson of the Whites Creek community and Ed Anderson of Florida, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Carl will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm with Minister Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens, Dayton.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Friday after 5:00pm.
