Callie Ruth Jordan age 89 of Dayton died Friday November 24, 2006 in her home.
She was born in Rhea County October 17, 1917 the daughter of the late John and Daisy (Baggett) Felts and she was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Swafford, her daughter, Bonnie Adams and two granddaughters, Carrie Day and Jennifer Day.
Callie Ruth lived in Dayton most of her life where she retired from Rhea County Nursing Home. She loved gardening, flowers and quilting and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four daughters, Virginia Campbell of Dayton, Joyce Day of Spring City, Lois Kiest of Dayton and Helen Fry of Hixson, her sister-in-law, Craty Felts of Pikeville, sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Callie Ruth will be held Sunday at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carroll Henderson and Rev. Von Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Gentry Cemetery on Dayton Mountain.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Sunday after 11am.
