Callie Cox

Callie Freeman Cox age 93 of Graysville died Saturday, October 02, 2010 at the Soddy-Daisy Health Care Center. She was born in Alabama on August 13, 1917 to the late Durris and Susie (Cooper) Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles. L. Cox, her grandson Alan Lovelady, brother, Linton Freeman and sister, Athelene Burton.
Callie lived most of her life in Rhea County where she was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (James) Byrd of Soddy-Daisy, three grandsons, Randy, Tommy and Curtis Lovelady, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her brother, Rev. Clankston Freeman of Dayton and her sister Missouri Beene of Chattanooga.
Funeral services for Callie will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Sister Opal Scott officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens.
