Lucious “Bud” Davis, age 66 of Dayton died Friday evening, September 24, 2010 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga. Bud was born in Dayton on November 18, 1943 the son of the late Willis and Alta Mae (Brown) Davis.
Bud lived most of his life in Dayton and was a graduate of Rhea Central High School. He was a boilermaker and served his country aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.
He is survived by his son, Jefferson Davis of Dayton, three daughters, Teresa Thurman of Dayton, Patricia Chavis of Spring City and Stacy Davis of Memphis, two brothers, “LB” Brown and Paul W. Davis both of Dayton and his nine grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bud will be held Monday morning at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his mother in Rhea Memory Gardens with military honors.
