Bruce Howard Franks, age 58 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday evening, November 4, 2020 at Memorial Health in Chattanooga. Bruce was born on December 16, 1961 in Blytheville, AR, the son of the late Edward Howard Franks and Ollie Bell (Goodson) Franks.
Bruce lived in Dayton most of his life. He was a Rhea County High School Graduate - Class of 1980. Bruce was a diesel fuel truck driver for Love’s Truck Stops, he enjoyed fishing, he was a devoted Tennessee Vols fan and also a fan of the Atlanta Braves, but most of all he enjoyed being a Pepaw to his grandbabies. Bruce was baptized in the Graysville Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Jaime Franks of Dayton; his daughter, Christina (Shane) Pendergrass of Soddy Daisy; stepdaughter, Alexis McGann of Hixson; sister, Karen (Gary) Galloway of Fredericksburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Adalynn, and Emory Bell Pendergrass.
Funeral services for Bruce will be held Sunday afternoon, November 8, 2020 at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Dodd officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
Social distancing is strongly encouraged and MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Sunday afternoon after 12:00 noon.
