Brenda Devonnia Carroll

Brenda Devonnia Carroll, age 69, of Hixson went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 8, 2013 with her husband at her side. She was born February 9, 1944 in Rossville, GA the daughter of the late George David and Beatrice (Gray) Hayes.
Devonnia was raised in Rossville, GA and had lived in Hixson, TN for the last 30 years. She was a 1962 graduate of Rossville High School and a graduate of the Saint Louis College of Cosmetology. Devonnia was foremost a pastor’s wife and was employed by Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga for the past 17 years. She had many hobbies such as needlepoint, ceramics, and reading. Devonnia was a member of Dayton Family Worship Center where she loved to sing and teach the Bible. She also worked in youth camps for many years.
Devonnia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bishop Bob Carroll of Hixson, TN, her son, David Shane (Deborah) Carroll of Dayton; her daughter, DeDra Montea Carroll of Hixson; her grandchildren, Christian, Braden, Addison, Robby, Gavin, and Kayla.
Funeral services for Devonnia will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop William Coile and Rev. Audie May officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
