Brandon Shipley

Brandon Travis Shipley age 33 of Dayton died Saturday, September 2, 2006 in Dayton due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born in Chattanooga on February 12, 1973 and lived all of his life in Dayton.

Brandon was a carpenter by trade and attended New Union Baptist Church. He was an avid Vols fan and enjoyed fishing, rock crawling and mudding. As a young boy Brandon enjoyed dirt bike racing. Brandon had a kind heart and a free spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Joni (Griffin) Shipley, his daughter, Lexie Shipley, his father, Larry Shipley all of Dayton, his mother, June Green of Soddy Daisy, brother, Chad Shipley of Pikeville and his grandmother, Ruth White of Dayton. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Shipley and grandmother, Ruth Lee Hixson.

Funeral services for Brandon will be held Monday evening at 8:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Keith officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00am at Rhea Memory Gardens.
