Wayne Knight

Bobby “Wayne” Knight, age 53 of Evensville, passed away at his home early on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born on June 16, 1972, in Loudon, the son of the late D. L. Knight and Gracie (Berry) Knight of Evensville, who survives him. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann Knight, and his brothers, Robert Knight and Johnny Knight.

Wayne lived in Evensville most of his life and enjoyed doing yard work.

In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his children, Josh Knight of Dayton, Jessica Asbury of Ringgold, Georgia, Jonathan Knight of Rossville, Georgia, and Blake Sherrill of Oak Ridge; his former wife, Laura Knight of Dayton, his eight grandchildren, his sister, Rosie Stephens of Evensville; and his brothers, Clyde Knight of Spring City and David Knight of Evensville.

Funeral services for Wayne will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Kenny Wright officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family in Harrison Cemetery, Harrison, Tennessee.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tennessee, where they will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
