Bobbie Dean Patton McCoy, age 69 of Dayton died Saturday morning, October 3, 2009 in a Rhea County nursing home. Bobbie was born in Rockwood on January 22, 1940 the daughter of the late Allen Franklin Godsey and Ethel Lee (Robinson) Godsey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Patton.
Bobbie was a resident of Dayton since 1957 where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting jewelry and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Spring City.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde McCoy of Dayton, her daughter, Claudia Patton of Chattanooga, three sisters, Frances (Paul) Weaver and Mabel (George) Janow both of Spring City and Joyce (Wendell) Borne of Dayton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bobbie will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, Rev. Frank Sherrill officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
