Robbie Dean “Bobbie” Houston age 88 of Spring City died Thursday November 19, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hamilton County on May 1, 1927 to the late James and Lena (Cofer) Shoemake. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grant Houston and her grandson Jamie Suits.
Bobbie lived most her life in Rhea County . She retired from Kayser Roth as a training instructor and was of the Baptist faith.
Bobbie is survived by her long time companion Gene Calbaugh, five daughters; Barbara (Charles) Fryar, Suzie (Tim) Floyd, Oma (Lee Watts) Houston all of Spring City, Deborah (Steve) Blackburn of Chattanooga, Shelia (Kenny) Davis of Suffolk, VA, three sons ; Ken (Patti) Houston of Sale Creek, Rick (Debbie) Houston of Spring City and Jack Huckabee of Oak Ridge, her sister, Carol Burgans of Chattanooga, her brother, Jack (Billie Sue) Shoemake of Florida, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bobbie will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Norman Huskey officiating . She will be laid to rest in Cofer Cemetery in Georgetown,TN.
