Billy Franklin Aslinger

Billy Franklin Aslinger age 75 of Sale Creek died at his home Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was born in Sale Creek on October 13, 1939 to the late Earl Josh Aslinger and Pearl (Atchley) Aslinger. He was also preceded in death by his son, Darrin Aslinger, brother, Robert Aslinger and sister, Robbie Dorn.
Billy lived in Sale Creek all of his life where he was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Sale Creek Masonic Lodge 280 F & AM and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Ruth (Thurman) Aslinger, two sons, Darrell (Becky) Aslinger and William “Don” Aslinger all of Sale Creek. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Aslinger of Middle Valley, five sisters, Mary Ruth Aslinger of Sale Creek, Shirley (John) Denton of Sale Creek, Patsy Aslinger of Sale Creek, Linda Faye (David) Parsons of VA, Dorothy (Larry) Hodge of Hixson and his one grandson, two great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
Graveside funeral services for Billy will be held Monday at 12 noon at the Smith-Wilkey Cemetery in Spring City. The family will greet friends at the cemetery 30 minutes before the service.
