“Earline” called by most, had an angelic soprano voice and enjoyed singing. At the age of 15, Motown Recording Studio asked to sign her. That request was denied by Earline’s mother stating that she was too young, yet while a teenager singing in choirs at church and school, Earline sang on Program at Tennessee State University with the Late Civil Rights Leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King walked over to Earline, shook her hand and told her she had a beautiful voice.
Some of Earline’s other hobbies were League Bowling, international travel to six of the seven continents, playing Scrabble daily and Jeopardy.
She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Doss of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Kimberly (Mario) Cunningham of Dunlap, Tennessee, and Carmen Doss of Dallas, Texas; her son, Donald Doss Jr. of Snellville, Georgia; her two brothers, Earl (Millie) Wilson Jr., of Hinesville, Georgia, and Robert (Katrina) Wilson of Hixson, Tennessee; her two sisters, Conious Price of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Juana (Clinton) Roberts Jr. of Hixson, Tennessee; and her 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

She will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. She will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga.
