Betty Irene Standifer

Betty Irene Standifer, age 79, of Sale Creek died Monday, August 12, 2013, in Chattanooga. She was born January 3, 1934 in Sale Creek to the late Fleming Atchley and Esther Cornelia (Fox) Webb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Mac Standifer; daughter, Vickie Lynn Williamson; brother, Claude Webb, and sisters, Alice Moore and Gertie Gann.
A lifelong resident of Sale Creek, Betty was a graduate of Sale Creek High School, Class of 1952. She was a homemaker and attended Soddy United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her son, Mitchell Standifer; daughter, Mitzi Standifer; sister, Alma Gann, all of Sale Creek; sister, Loretta (Ed) Spradling of New Port Richey, FL, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Roger Robitaille of Sale Creek.
Funeral services for Betty will be held Friday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barry Kidwell officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Standifer Cemetery on Sale Creek Mountain.
