Betty Aileen Hall Wilkey, age 87 of Dayton, TN, passed away at her home on Friday, July 10, 2026. She was born in Dayton, TN, on May 7, 1939, the daughter of the late William Allen and Erma Tennessee (Thomas) Thurman. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Hall, and Melvin Wilkey; her grandchildren, Ray Brady, and Daniel Wilkey; her brothers, Odell Thurman, Tommy Thurman, and Hoyal Thurman; and her sisters, Virginia Ferguson, Anna Aslinger, and Jane Stultz.
Betty spent her entire life in Dayton, where she was a faithful member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. She had a deep love for flowers, especially black petunias and wildflowers, and took special delight in watching hummingbirds. Most of all, Betty cherished her family, who always came first in her life. When she wasn't working in her flower beds or spending time with her family, she enjoyed watching Paula Deen and collecting teapots.
Betty is survived by her son, Terry (Bobbie) Hall of Graysville; her two daughters, Kathy (Rick) Brady, and Tammie King, both of Dayton; her ten grandchildren, Justin (Melanie) Brady, Jamie (Jay) McMillon , Josh (Carla) Hall, Elisha Davis, Tabitha (Brandon) Wolfe, Colby King, Mark Wilkey, Matthew (Ava) Wilkey, Summer (Jerry) Garrison, and Casey Brown; her 18 great-grandchildren, Hunter Brady, Lily Brady, Lindsey Brook Watson, Lainey Hall, Jackson Hall, Jacob Hall, Jacie Hall, Ashton Wolfe, Adyson Wolfe, River Wolfe, Kiera Wilkey, Carson Wilkey, Eli Wilkey, Cy Garrison, Lake Garrison, Athens Brown, Knox Brown, and Caroline Brown; her two great-great-grandchildren; Jasper Hall, and Wrenley Hall; her brother, John C. (Joyce) Thurman of Cookeville; and her sister, June (Jimmy) Poole of Evensville.
Funeral services for Betty will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, with Rev. Darrell Walden officiating. She will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Rhea Memory Gardens between her husbands.
