Betty Sexton Arnold age 85 of Englewood, formerly of Dayton, died at the Brookewood Nursing Home in Decatur. Betty was born in Dayton on April 14, 1923 the daughter of the late Patrick K. and Lola E. (Jordan) Sexton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harding W. Arnold and infant son, Larry F. Arnold.
Betty was a graduate of Rhea Central High School and attended Hiwassee College for two years. She lived most of her life in Dayton until moving to Englewood in 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the Garrison Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Philip K. (Doris) Arnold of Englewood, grandson, Jason H. Arnold of Tallahassee, FL, nieces, Daphne (Ken) Wood of SC, Sharon Sharpe of Dayton, nephews, Albert Allen Arnold of Dayton and Bob (Connie) Howard of AR.
Funeral services for Betty will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Jordan officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Saturday from 6:00Pm until 8:00pm.
