Bessie Stewart, age 86 of Dayton passed away Thursday morning, July 16, 2009 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. Bess was born in Calvary, GA on July 12, 1923 the daughter of the late James and Marie (McCray) Butler. She was also preceded in death by her husband Millard Warren who was killed during WWII, her infant daughter Shirley Warren and her infant son, Gordon Stewart, three sisters and one brother.
Bess was a homemaker and a resident of Dayton since 1980.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Marcy (Dr. Ken) Froemke and her grandson, Bradley (Sinai) Froemke all of Dayton along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bess will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Dewayne Renfro officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
