Bennett “Brody” Hickman, age 33 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born in Chattanooga on December 3, 1992, the son of Travis Hickman and Ann Scott, both who survive him.

Brody called Dayton home his entire life and graduated from Rhea County High School with the class of 2011. He was employed as an industrial electrician for Willow Creek Companies, taking pride in his craft. Brody had a big heart for his friends and the animals in his life, and he made the most of his time — whether he was working out at the gym, out four-wheeling, casting a line while fishing, or cheering on his favorite football game.

In addition to his parents, Travis (Pam) Hickman of Jasper, TN, and Ann (Dean Womack) Scott of Dayton, Brody is survived by his son, Drake Wyatt Hickman of Dayton; his brother, Joshua Allen of Clarksville; his sister, Bethe Allen of Grandview; his maternal grandparents, Melinda (Tom) Dailey of McKenzie, TN, and Aaron Scott of Beaver Dam, KY; and his two half-sisters, Keshia and Kaitlyn.

Funeral services for Brody will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Jim Woychuk. He will be laid to rest at Spence Cemetery.
