Barbara Johnson

Barbara Lea Johnson, age 73 of Dayton died Saturday morning, July 30, 2011 in Dayton. She was born on August 12, 1937 the daughter of the late Gurlie and Hattie (Brown) Hale. She was also preceded in death by her husband Emery Johnson.
Barbara had been a resident of Dayton since 1989 moving here from Hixson. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning and was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her four children, Mary Johnson of Dayton, Linda Johnson of Chattanooga, Robert Johnson of Dayton and William (Susan) Johnson of South Pittsburg; her two sisters, Joyce Tedder and Patricia (Cecil “Junior”) Gunter both of Crossville; five grandchildren and family friend Michael Haggard of East Ridge.
Graveside funeral services for Barbara will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30am at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister Steve Brown officiating.
