Barbara Ann Henderson

Barbara Ann Henderson, age 79 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 8, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Roy and Bertha Sylva. She was also preceded in death by her son, Wayne Henderson; and two brothers, Willard Sylva, and Fat Sylva.

Barbara retired from Pinnacle Retirement Home. She enjoyed spending time with her little dogs, watching TV, and fishing. She attended Friendship Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clay Henderson of Dayton; her two children, Allen (Vangie) Henderson, and Carolyn Poteet, both of Dayton; her seven grandchildren, Brandy (Rodney) Eustice of Birchwood, Krystal (Matt) Tate of Sale Creek, Brittany (Daryl) Henderson of Birchwood, Dakota (Julia) Henderson, Megan (Thomas) Poole and Michael Leonard, all of Dayton and Jessica Leonard of Birchwood; her ten great-grandchildren, Caleb Martin, MJ and Kaylee Vaughn, AJ and Marshall Tate, Trinity, Jocelyn and Dixie Holloway, Annie Poole, and Chloe Henderson; and her three brothers, Mickey (Verla) Sylva, Danny (Danalee) Sylva and Roy (Bessie) Sylva.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carroll Henderson and Rev. Von Dunn officiating. She will be laid to rest at Henderson Family Cemetery.
