Audry Yearwood Snyder, age 71 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She was born on November 13, 1951, in Dayton, the daughter of the late Melvin and Cecil (Brooks) Elsea. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Yearwood; her son, Billy Yearwood; her brother, Randy Elsea, and her sister, Janet Coleman.
Audry was the former owner/manager of restaurants in Rhea County and retired from TVA Local 846 Labor Union in Chattanooga. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she loved cooking, shopping, and traveling. She was of the Church of God faith.
Audry is survived by her husband, Lesley “Les” Snyder of Dayton, her two daughters, Cindy (Michael) Goins and Missy Peak, both of Graysville; and her son, Joseph (Michele) Yearwood of Jasper; her step-son, Jimmy (Isetta) Johnson of Dayton Mountain; and her two step-daughters, Kim Bishop of Nashville and Amy (BJ) Arwood of Evensville. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, Courtney (Adam) Conley, Tiffany (Adam) Peak, Tyler Peak, Erika Yearwood, Tori Peak, Trace Peak, Bentley Wilson, Carson Wilson, Kerrah Roddy, Ezekiel Roddy, Kyrie Roddy, Raelyn Yearwood, Emery Yearwood, and Jace Conley; and her nine step-grandchildren, Courtney McConnell, Pagie (Rodger) Hodge, Daniel Thornton, Dakota Thornton, Dillon Thornton, Wade Warner, Lydia Hodge, Eljah Hodge, and Riverlyn Thornton.
Funeral services for Audry will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Sneed officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Earl Yearwood, in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dayton after the service.
