Arlean Newell Roberts, age 92 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Dayton on August 1, 1930, the son of the late Charlie Roberts and Elizabeth (Massengale) Roberts. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Iva Jean (Arnold) Roberts; his four sisters, Rosa Mayhall, Agnes Morrison, Bernice Clark, and Hazel McClure; and his brother, Albert Roberts.
Arlean lived in Dayton all of his life and was a bulldozer and backhoe operator for many years. He belonged to the Antique Tractor Club and attended New Union Baptist Church.
Arlean is survived by his wife Edna (Brown) Roberts of Dayton; his two daughters, Debbie (Donnie) Revis of Dayton and Sharon Smith of Decatur; his son, Ray (Wanda) Roberts of Dayton; and his step-son, Mike (Nyla) Brown of Dayton. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Jamie (Shea) Revis, Jeremy (Cindy) Revis, Tim (Rachel) Roberts, Jarrod (Bridgett) Roberts, Bradley (Sara) Baker, Tonya Baker, and Cody (Caitlin) Smith; his two step-grandsons, Bradlee (Lindsey) Brown and Tyler Brown; 12 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Arlean will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens next to his first wife, Iva Jean Roberts with his grandsons as pallbearers.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
