Annie Mae Gunter

Annie Mae (Etherton) Gunter, age 66 of Spring City, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Tennova Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 21, 1957, the daughter of the late Naymon and Lucinda (Webb) Etherton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tom Gunter; her four brothers, Ronald Etherton, Donald Etherton, Jerry Etherton, and Robert Etherton; and her sister, Helen Sherrill.

Annie lived in Spring City most of her life. She enjoyed fishing, reading, visiting flea markets, and was a big time wrestling fan.

She is survived by her former husband of many years, Tom Gunter of Spring City; her son, James Gunter of Spring City; her brother, Kenny Etherton of Kingsport; and her two special friends, Brenda Etherton and Tom Harvey, both of Spring City.

A graveside funeral service for Annie will be held at Buttram Cemetery on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Rodney Dunn officiating.
