Annette Hixson

Annette Jenell Hixson, age 82 of Sale Creek died Monday afternoon in a Rhea County nursing home. Annette was born in Bledsoe County on March 30, 1927 the daughter of the late James Purser Hixson and Allie Viola (Hixson) Hixson.

Annette was raised in Bledsoe County and then lived many years in Hixson until moving to Sale Creek in 1988. She was a member of Welch’s Chapel in Sequatchie County and attended Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Sale Creek.

She is survived by her two brothers, Ralph Hixson of Sale Creek and Eddie Hixson of KY, two sisters, Ruby Roy of Chattanooga and Naomi Bowman of Dayton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Annette will be held Thursday evening at 8:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Emory Layne and Rev. David Cunningham officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:00am in the Hixson Cemetery in Bledsoe County.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Thursday after 5:00pm.
