Anna P. Smith

Anna Smith, age 96 of Evensville died Tuesday May 11, 2010 at Rhea Medical Center. She was born August 31, 1913 in Meigs County to the late Peter and Mattie Smith. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Arthur W. and Paul E. Smith.

She lived in Rhea County most of her life and was a graduate of Meigs Co. High School. She retired as a lab technician for the federal government in Oak Ridge.

She is survived by several cousins and special caregiver and dear friend Joan Beene of Evensville.

Funeral services for Anna will be Thursday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Wilkey Cemetery in Evensville.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial contributions be made to the Smith-Wilkey Cemetery fund.
