Anna Mcdaniel

Anna Ruth McDaniel age 83 of Sparta died Monday April 9, 2007 in NHC HealthCare in Sparta. She was born September 6, 1923 in Evensville the daughter of the late Joe and Calissa (Fisher) Hurst. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dewey McDaniel and her son Clarence McDaniel.


Anna was raised in Rhea County and then for the last several years she made her home with her daughters. Anna loved her family, fishing, camping, knitting and yard sales.


She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Gary) Womack of Sparta and Lashon (Gorman) Davis of Greenville, grandsons, Eddie (Joyce) Morgan of Lewisburg, TN and Scott (Alena) Davis of Houston, AL, two great-grandsons and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services for Anna will be held Thursday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr Roger Rothwell officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Cemetery in Dayton.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday 4-8pm.
