Anna Kate Denton

Anna Kate Denton age 86 of Dayton died Sunday morning, January 19, 2014 at her home. She was born in Loudon County on February 3, 1927 the daughter of the late Robert Jackson and Lora (Fitzgerald) Mayton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dan” Denton and a daughter Rita Ann Denton.
Anna had been a resident of Dayton since 1941 where she retired from Robinsons Manufacturing after 38 years. She was a member of the Spivey Memorial United Methodist Church.
Anna is survived by her son Richard Dean (Betty) Denton of Dayton, her granddaughter Janet Denton of Dayton and her sister Lucille Kerns of Harriman.
Funeral services for Anna will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, Rev. Bill Ewing officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Buttram Cemetery.
