Ann Ward, age 100, of Dayton, passed away late Monday night, March 18, 2019 at Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center. She was born on February 23, 1919 in Caryville, the daughter of the late Robert and Millie Jane (Marlowe) Tackett. Ann was also preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Ward, her granddaughter, Sheila Moody and her son-in-law Charles “Buddy” Tiller.

Ann lived in Chattanooga before moving to Dayton in 1982. She and her husband Roscoe owned and operated Ward Electronics in Chattanooga. Ann enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Tiller of Chattanooga and Shirley Dean (Bob) Moody of Soddy Daisy; her grandchildren, Sherry Angel (Mike) Flerl of Atlanta, GA, Jo Ann (Dan) Cox of Dayton, OH, Cathy Lynn (Scott) Kayser of Chesapeake, VA, Linda Sue (Bill) Whiteman of Dayton, OH, Sandy Bizzell of Atlanta, GA, William (Kathy) Tiller of Chattanooga and Shonda (Stan) Thurman of Soddy Daisy; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.

Funeral services for Ann will be held Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her pastor Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens next to her husband Roscoe.
