Allen Carl Skidgel, age 60, of Spring City, TN died Saturday evening, August 24, 2013, in Dayton, TN. He was born September 2, 1952 in Dexter, Maine to the late Marilyn Martha (Skidgel) Wardwell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sharon (Pelkey) Skidgel.
Allen lived in Maine until 1999 when he moved to Spring City, TN. He was employed as a logger and was an avid horseman, owning many horses throughout his life.
Allen is survived by his two sons, Shannon (Tara) Skidgel of Spring City,TN and Kristen (Cindy) Lafontaine of Culpeper, VA; one daughter, Brandy (Jerry) Huffman of Spring City; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Katelyn, Cameron, Conner, Leah, Casey, Taylor, and Colby, and special friend, Barbara Ann Massengill of Spring City, TN.
