Alivia “Livy” Jean Doss, beloved daughter and mother, gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was of the Baptist faith.
Alivia was preceded in death by her infant son, William Rustin Doss; grandparents, Thomas Jones, Albert Doss, and Carolyn Wooten; and her uncle, Stacy Doss.
Alivia is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Julia Doss, and her son, Ridge Dotson, all of Dayton. She is also survived by her brothers, Justin (Gina) Revis of Pikeville and Cody Doss of Federal Way, Washington; her grandmother, Jewell Jones of Sale Creek, and a host of many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are going to miss her dearly.
Alivia was born on May 4, 1993, in Chattanooga, TN, and was a 2011 graduate of Rhea County High School where she was a member of the cross-country team and was a cheerleader.
Alivia’s passion was catering and party planning, and that’s what she had worked at the past several years. She liked the extravagant, glitter, sparkly things, and was a girly girl, but she also loved fishing, camping, and hanging out at the lake or river. She loved summer and playing in the pool with the kids. She was an avid Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves fan, and she enjoyed watching those games with her Granny. More than anything, Livy loved being a mom to Ridge.
To know her was to love her, and if you knew her, you knew love. Livy was so caring and compassionate, always putting others before herself. She was an angel among us, always trying to do good and help others. The world has lost a beautiful soul.
Funeral services for Livy will be on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rusty Revis officiating. Alivia will be laid to rest next to her Papaw at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek, TN, with her cousins serving as pallbearers.
