Alfred "Leon" Cranmore

Alfred “Leon” Cranmore, age 74 of Sale Creek, passed away at his home early on Monday, September 21, 2026. He was born in Chattanooga on February 4, 1952, the son of the late John Thomas Cranmore and Betty Lou (Brumlee) Cranmore. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Leona (Skiles) Cranmore in 2019.

Leon made his home in Sale Creek for the last 50 years and previously worked as the Street Superintendent for Red Bank. He loved spending time on his front porch, watching his grandchildren play.

Leon is survived by his sons, Dustin “Dusty” (Maria) Cranmore of Birchwood and Thomas “Tommy” (Marsha) Cranmore of Georgia; his daughter, Cindy of Soddy Daisy; his five grandchildren; his great-grandson; his brother, Kenny Cranmore of Sale Creek; and his sister, Brenda.

There will be no services for Leon at this time.
