Albert Thornton Wells, age 92, of Dayton died Friday, May 11, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 15,1925 in LaFollette to the late Esker Wells and Hattie (Elder) Wells. He was also preceded in death by his wife Imogene (Patton) Wells and his sons, Paul Wells, Ronnie Wells, Larry Wells and Albert “Junior” Clark.
Albert was a resident of Dayton since 1981. He served his country with the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He retired as a welder after 22 years with General Motors Fleetwood Cadillac Division.
He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Smith of Detroit, MI, Linda Sue Carter and Carolyn McGee both of San Pedro, CA; his son Jerry Wells of Huron, SD; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Albert will be held Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Pleasantview Cemetery in Graysville with Military Honors.
