Albert Clyde Doss, age 76, of Dayton died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Dayton. He was born August 19, 1937 in Rhea County, to the late Eddie Gordon and Velma May (Thomas) Doss. He was also preceded in death by his son, Stacey L. Doss; sister, Barbara Dyer and two brothers, Harold Doss and William Doss.
A resident of Rhea County all his life, Albert graduated from Rhea Central High School. He served his country in the US Navy, retiring after 15 years. Albert then was employed by TVA as a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters Local 74. He enjoyed fishing as a hobby.
Albert is survived by his son, Thomas A. (Julia) Doss of Evensville; daughter, Barbara (Greg) Early of Lenoir City; adopted son, Albert Allen Doss of Dayton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, and cousins; and a special daughter-in-law, Deanna Doss of Dayton
Graveside services, with full military honors, for Albert will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton.
