Agnes Marie Lamb, age 68 of Dunlap, passed away at NHC HealthCare Sequatchie on Saturday, August 13, 2022, after suffering a long time with cancer. Now she is at rest and healed by the Lord. She was born in Soddy Daisy on November 8, 1953, the daughter of the late James Edgar “Ed” Leffew and Ethel Olivan (Templeton) Leffew. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Albert Leffew and Arvel Leffew.
Agnes was a Soddy Daisy High School graduate and lived in Soddy Daisy and Hixson. She was employed by Safety Apparel, Signal Knitting, and La-Z-Boy. She was a member and one of the founders of Straightway Holiness Church in Soddy Daisy.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Adam) Hart of Philadelphia, PA; her three grandchildren, Ashley Parker, Sara Hart, and Avery Hart; her five sisters, Virginia Pearl Weas of Dunlap, Ruby Lewis, Mary Morgart, and Earlene Crowe, all of Soddy Daisy, and Faye (Bobby) Crowe of Hixson; her two brothers, Freddie (Roxie) Leffew of Calhoun, GA and James Leffew of Soddy Daisy; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Dot Harrison and Catherine Cox.
A private family graveside funeral service for Agnes will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton with Pastor Troy Simmons officiating.
