Victor Donald “Don” Martin, age 76 of Birchwood, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2021 at Parkridge Medical in Chattanooga. He was born on January 1st, 1945 in Massena, NY, the son of the late Joseph William Martin and Gertrude Hattie (Clemmo) Martin.
Don lived in Birchwood for 23 years and previously in Graysville for 32 years. Don served his country in the US Army. He was a Service Technician at Astec for over 31 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing with his dog “Lady”, helping friends and family on his tractor, and dancing with his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Linda (Rich) Martin of Birchwood; his daughters, Kathy (Clyde) Morgan of Birchwood and Sheila (David) Fairbanks of Soddy Daisy; his sons, Jack (Kristal) Martin of Moulton, AL and Jerry (Tonya) Martin of Graysville; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; his sister, Christine (Eugene) Arquette of Massena, NY; and his brothers, David (Gloria) Clemmo, Phillip (Diane) Martin, Timothy (Sue) Martin all of Massena, NY, and Laurence Martin of Rochester, NY.
A Celebration of Life for Don will be announced at a later date.
