Susie Alvey Dayton Doris Allene “Susie” Alvey, age 58 passed away Saturday October 21, 2017 at Erlanger. She was born in Rhea County, on November 12, 1958 to the late Woodrow Sligh and Myrtle (Smith) Sligh Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Charlie Hunter and her two brothers Roy Sligh and Bill Sligh. Susie was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker who loved horses and dogs and lived all of her life in Dayton. She is survived by her husband Randy Alvey, Sr., son Randy (Joann) Alvey, Jr., sister Mary Crowe and two grand-children, James Alvey and Emily Alvey all of Dayton Funeral services for Susie will be held Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clarence Gore officiating. She will be laid to rest in Spence Cemetery.
