Margaret Frances Markert, age 98 of Dayton, passed away on December 25, 2021, at Life Care of Rhea County. She was born on March 13, 1923, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Christie) Drum. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Markert. Margaret lived in New Jersey the majority of her life and moved to Pikeville in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She is survived by her three children, John Markert of St. Augustine, FL, Christine Grimm of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Carolynn Markert of Pikeville.
