Geraldine Miller Brooks, age 75 of Dayton went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday evening January 27, 2016 in Chattanooga. She was born in Sale Creek on May 24, 1940 to the late Clyde James Hersel Miller and Myrtle Laura (May) Miller. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Elkins and Betty Rosemary Miller, and four brothers, Thomas “Buddy” Miller, Jimmy Miller, Johnny Miller and Donnie Miller.
Geraldine lived all of her life in Dayton. She retired from Robinson Manufacturing after thirty-eight years as a seamstress. She was a member of Church of God of Prophesy in Birchwood. She loved spending time working in the yard, sewing, gardening, shopping, playing rook, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years Loyd Brooks of Dayton, her daughter Tammy (Jeff) Link of Claremont,NC, two sons; Alan (Deanna) Brooks of Dayton, Kimble ( Maxann) Brooks of Dayton, grandchildren; Nick Brooks, Kaleb Brooks (fiancé Caitlin Parton), Camille Brooks, Lane Brooks, Zac Link ,Natalie Link, Tom (Karina) Collins and great-grandson Clayton Collins, brother Jerry (Betty) Miller of Sale Creek, three sisters Evelyn (Allan) Guy of Perry,FL, Betty Joe Dotson of Dayton and Sheila Coffinberry of Dayton.
Funeral services for Geraldine will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest at Garrison Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
