Cora Diane Newby

Cora Diane Newby, age 16, of Dayton, passed away at her home in Dayton on Thursday, August 5, 2021. She was born on June 2, 2005 in Chattanooga.

Cora was a Rhea County High School student and a member of the New Union Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, James and Robin Newby of Dayton; her grandparents, Rev. Harold and Sue Newby of Spring City and Linda Rouse of Dayton; many aunts, uncles and cousins, including Patti Pritchett, Amy (Paul) Bartley, Pam (Jim) Wright, Jodi (Tim) Wehse, Frank F. (Kay) Rouse, III, and John (Tasha) Rouse. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank F. Rouse, Jr.

Funeral services for Cora will be held Monday evening, August 9th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeremy Deal, Rev. Danny Reuhling and Rev. Harold Newby officiating. She will be laid to rest Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 at 12:00 noon in Spring City Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
