Christopher "Corky" Batten

Christopher Bruce “Corky” Batten, age 67, of Birchwood, passed away February 15, 2020 at his home in Birchwood. Corky was born in Atlanta on July 17, 1952. He was the son of Hosea Batten and the late Carol Batten. He moved to the Chattanooga area where he pursued a lifelong career in banking and finance.

Corky is survived by his son, Christopher Matthew Batten; his daughter, Kristen Batten Smith; two grandchildren, Eli Mitchell and Harper Grace Smith; his father, Hosea Batten; and 2 brothers, Eric Batten and Tim Batten.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2020 at The Barn at Drewia Hill in Sale Creek from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Corky’s name.
