Cecile Elsea. age 78, died Monday November 23, 2009 at the Soddy Daisy Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Rhea County, she was born in Dayton on September 1, 1931 to the late Ulyss Aud “Duke” Brooks and Cissy Hanna (Hill) Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband Melvin “Red” Elsea.
Cecile was a homemaker and loved to quilt. She was of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by her daughter Audry Yearwood Snyder of Dayton, son Randall Elsea of Spencer, brother Johnny Brooks of IN, brother Rev. Lloyd Ed Brooks of Dayton, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Cecile will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lloyd Ed Brooks and Sister Opal Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery
