Burton Allan Tucker, age 98 of the Laurelbrook Community on Dayton Mountain entered into rest April 30, 2009 at Laurelbrook Nursing Home. He was born in Decatur, IL on November 18, 1910, the son of the late Burton and Ella (Hileman) Tucker. He was also preceded in death by his wife Edna (Greenman) Tucker.
Allan had been a resident of Dayton since 2001, moving here from South Carolina. He was an electrician and welder and was a member of the Laurelbrook Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Allan is survived by his sons James (Priscilla) Tucker of Chattanooga, TN and Eldean (Linda Kathleen) Tucker of Portland, TN, brother, Howard Tucker of Sandy, OR, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Allan will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Laurelbrook Cemetery with Pastor Larry Owens officiating.
